Julie O’Brien Fairweather
Julie Fairweather is an award-winning journalist with 15+ years of experience developing marketing and public relations strategies for such businesses as The Shops at Prudential Center, Tweeter Home Entertainment, Meehan, Boyle & Cohen, Circle Furniture, Barmakian Jewelers, Office Depot, South Shore Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, The Architectural Team, The Greatest Bar, World Trade Center Boston and The Cam Neely Foundation, to name a few.
Julie approaches all things in life – professional and personal – in full force, with an energy and a focus that delivers results; tangible results. Her anything-is-possible mind-set and innovative approach makes everything she touches a remarkable success.
Julie’s agency experience includes launching her own strategic consulting firm, O’Brien Public Strategies in the early 90’s, serving as second in command at OTW, a 4-person retail-focused advertising agency where she lead numerous client initiatives, and Account Director at Solomon McCown and Company in Boston where she lead all retail accounts, public relations and marketing programs for the agency. Julie has also worked as an assignment manager and reporter for WLVI-TV 56 in Boston and a news anchor and reporter from an NBC affiliate in North Platte, NE.
Julie is a past President and former Executive Director of The Publicity Club of New England, a 300-member trade organization for the Greater Boston public relations community. She also spent some time teaching broadcast journalism and radio and television producing at Emerson College in Boston.
On top of all that, Julie is also the proud mother of three fabulously vibrant children, PTO President of her children’s school, soccer coach to her daughter’s travel team, and, of course, an expert multi-tasker.
