O Spring, Spring! wherefore art thou Spring? Deny thy winter and refuse thy cold!
Well, ladies when it rains it pours and April is known for its showers! And it’s not just a light sprinkle here at In Full Force headquarters – we’re deluged with work this month as we prepare for the many events we are producing in May and June. We’re literally working “in full force” to make these events tres fabulous! Whether you live West of Boston, South of Boston, North of Boston … or just love the Big Apple (we do!). We’ve got a fabulous event for you!
So, were you lucky enough to nestle in during the month of March? Did you indulge in that pie? Watch those movies? Or surf the net? We certainly hope so, because now it’s April and time to flee the house! So this month be sure to head outside, to somebody else’s kitchen, to the ball field, and to places that will renew you!
We have some great ideas to get you out of the house this month. However, if you’d simply prefer to stay home and surf the net, we’re all for that too. Because the most fabulous website has just launched. We love our website so much, we almost featured it as the Fabulous Lady of the Month. But we think you’ll agree, the lady we ultimately chose to be April’s fabulous feature is truly a lovely and “strong” one. So brew a cup of tea, sit back and relax and get ready to experience everything fabulous this month.
It’s Alive! InFullForce.com
We’re LIVE ladies! www.InFullForce.com is ready for your viewing pleasure. We’ve spent the past few months working out the kinks and we’re so excited to officially unveil www.InFullForce.com.
And, yes we’re biased. But we hope you agree, our fabulous new website ROCKS!
Flee the House, It’s April!
Remember that woman who wore cute outfits? And even cuter shoes? Who complained about those extra pounds even though they really weren’t there? Remember the woman who was able to juggle a career, the kids, the sports activities, and still manage to put a decent meal on the table? She sure had her act together!! We loved her, didn’t we?
Well ladies, guess what? This month we’re bringing her back! You know, the way you were before the holidays when you sunk into a world of comfort food, winter jackets, and relaxing clothes. Face it, warm weather, little league season, and later sunsets are on the horizon! So, here’s what we have for you: a motivational fitness regimen, healthy meals in a snap, and a few beauty tips that will send you skipping off into the sunshine with your head held high!
Give Yourself the Boot!
Sure, you could join the local gym and jump on that treadmill if you really want to get in shape. But who are you kidding? As soon as the warm sun starts shining, the last place anyone will find you will be at the gym. Get outside to jump-start your fitness! Push ups, sit ups, lunges, you name it – Boot Camp has got it and we LOVE IT! Sure, it might be a drastic way to lose the winter weight. But by drastic we don’t mean the drill sergeants barking out orders. By drastic we mean that it typically takes place just after 5 a.m. long before the sun even thinks about rising!
Hey don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! There’s simply no way explain how empowering, motivating, and effective it truly is. One In Full Force Boot Camper is a die-hard fan of Melrose Boot Camp (www.melrosebootcamp.com) where Sgt. Dana and Sgt. Joy get everyone saying ‘thank you sir, may I have another?’. But Boot Camps can be found all over Boston’s suburbs. Check out the following: The Get Fit Solution (www.getfitsolution.com) in Quincy, Bay State Adventure Camp for Women in Worcester (www.baystatebootcamp.com), Adventure Boot Camp for Women in Foxboro (www.mabootcamp.com), and B&S Fitness (www.bnsfitness.com) in Salem. And if you’re not quite ready to battle the great outdoors, The Weymouth Club (www.weymouthclub.com) keeps the less daring Boot Campers indoors. Now drop and give us 50!
Get Out of the Kitchen!
And enjoy someone else’s lovingly prepared meals for a change. It will save you time – more opportunity to exercise; money – meals can cost a mere $3.90 a serving; and calories – these healthy dishes make takeout seem downright evil!
We LOVE the new concept of pre-making meals (while sipping a glass of wine with your gal pals) in these large, restaurant style-kitchens. It’s amazing. You catch up with your friends while preparing enough meals for weeks of deliciously healthy dining. What’s better than that? Face it, before long you’ll be sitting in a lawn chair at a never-ending little league game wondering whether to hit McD’s drive-through or go home and make pancakes for dinner. Think ahead – shape up your family’s dinner regimen and get to your nearest dinner prep kitchen.
Here are a few of In Full Force’s favorites. North of Boston, Buying Thyme in Beverly, MA, is owned by our friend, Karen Andrew. Not only is her monthly menu top notch, but her sauces are made from scratch and she uses organic fruits and vegetables! Check out her April menu at www.buying-thyme.com. South of Boston, at Doorknock Dinner in Norwell, MA, you’ll find Tara ready to take care of your hunger for delicious food fast! She worked in the childcare for nearly 20 years, so she knows you’d rather be watching a t-ball game than slaving over a hot stove. To check out Tara’s menu visit www.doorknockdinner.com. West of Boston, check out Healthy Habits Kitchen in Wellesley, MA, where Sue Schochet will help you create balanced meals for a balanced life. Not only does she offer healthy meals, but she encourages you to create healthier habits to improve your family’s health. Learn how at www.healthyhabitskitchen.com.
For Those Who Prefer Not Cook At All!
Head into Boston’s North End to Nebo Restaurant where our friends Carla and Christine celebrate Neighborhood Night every Monday. Stop by 5 to 11 p.m. to feast on a $7 bar menu, featuring: antipasti, pizza and other fabulous dishes. And if that doesn’t have you heading in town, the night also features $7 cocktails by 3 Olives brand vodka – DELICIOSO! To learn more about Nebo and the fabulous ladies behind this venue visit www.neborestaurant.com.
Save These Dates to Celebrate Your Self! (Remember You?)
